Proud of our little boy!

We recently attended the Railsplitter Alpaca Show in Springfield, IL and we were excited to come away with a Reserve Grand Champion in the white huacaya male category. Our little Melody’s der Bauernhof Adagio has a fantastic blanket of fiber on him and beautiful conformation. We have him scheduled for several Spring shows (MOPACA, The Futurity, MAPACA and Wisconsin Alpaca and Fiber Fest) and we are anxious to see how he does.

We also had a vendor space at this year’s show, a first for us, and we entered several items in the fiber competition. We were pleased with the results of the judging on our fiber pieces (3 firsts and judges choice and peoples’ choice), and with the reception and interest we got in our fashions from the alpaca breeders and public that attended the show. Our next stop for our vendor stall will be the Wisconsin Alpaca and Fiber Fest in West Bend, Wisconsin April 29th and 30th. This is always a great show with lots of fiber enthusiasts and fantastic animals. If you were not able to attend the Railsplitter or haven’t been to an alpaca show, this is definitely one to attend.
