Our Vision

We know good relationships are built on trust and whether you are buying our outstanding alpacas, or buying products we produce with their fiber, your total satisfaction is our goal. When you have a great experience with our animals or products you will refer others and we will have the opportunity to assist them in experiencing the lifestyle that is the alpaca.

Alpaca Breeders

We offer premier breeding stock with outstanding pedigrees that will help you establish or strengthen your alpaca herd. We are also associated with the Synergy Alpaca Alliance, a group of alpaca breeders from smaller farms that are working together to create opportunities in livestock marketing and fiber marketing. We also offer complete pre and post purchase support of new alpaca breeders when they purchase animals from us, including advice on physical layout, finding veterinary care, nutrition, and animal care.

Fiber Products

We are constantly seeking ways to broaden the awareness of and the market for alpaca fiber. We feel we can do this most effectively through our own efforts. We use all the fiber grades produced by our animals on our farm for the production of hand-crafted, and inspired wearable art for the discerning consumer. Go to our Products pages to see what we are producing in garments and accessories from fine knitwear to felted wearables.

Prepping for Fall

By der Bauernhof Farms | Nov 4, 2019

We used to say that Fall was our busiest time of the year, but that has changed in that it seems ever season is our busiest time. We used to only be preparing for Fall and Winter sales of our wearable art, but with our summer sales in Door County, Summer knitting conferences with yarn sales and our Fall and Winter clothing sales, we feel like our business has grown into a 365 day enterprise. We are working feverishly to get our last few pieces knitted and I really have to get some jewelry made, plus we are really low… Continue Reading
